One-color self-mailer
Union College was in the midst of a $7M debt crisis and needed to reach out to donors to thank them for their generosity. They needed a creative solution that looked elegant, but cost pennies.
Look elegant, but don’t spend any money
Pretty much the ultimate design challenge, right there.
What’d I do? I went outside and grabbed a bunch of leaves (the campus was part of the state-wide arboretum). Sketched ’em out, scanned ’em into the computer, did a fan-fold self-mailer with a classic font and screen tints.
And that’s pretty much how you get creative w/no budget.
