Biotech Online Store Makeover

The idea behind the MatTek online store makeover is simple.

Back in 2015, Robbie Moore was tapped to redesign the MatTek website. The site ended up winning a WMA Best Biotech Website Award.

That led to explosive growth for MatTek. Even after 6 years, the website was still strong and didn’t show any signs of being out-of-date.

Complex Science. Simple Store.

The science behind MatTek is fascinating. They make artificial tissues for testing which saves lots of cute little bunnies from being harmed in lab tests. 

The science is complex and explained very well on the website, but when it’s time to buy, customers need a simple, organized online store. 

The new main page of the online store uses a clean grid with colorful product images. This allows users to quickly select the products they’re looking for. 

Then, on the detail pages, the product information is clearly organized into tables with a handy mini-gallery to view the products.

The end result is a clean interface that streamlines the buying process, making it easy for users to scan, review, select and purchase items, all while reinforcing MatTek’s brand.
